摘要: A number of pharmaceutically active compounds (PhACs) have been detected in the aquatic environment as a result discharges municipal wastewater. In state Louisiana, USA, many municipalities treat wastewater using natural systems, such lagoons and wetlands, rather than conventional treatment technologies. Nearly all research to date has focused on fate PhACs plants, not constructed wetlands. plant (WWTP) for Mandeville, flows 7600 m(3)d(-1) are treated series aeration (basins), followed by wetland UV disinfection, before being discharged into forested (i.e. Bayou Chinchuba) eventually, Lake Pontchartrain. Thirteen out 15PhACs investigated were inflow plant. Only 9 13 above detection limits at effluent. The concentrations most reduced greater 90% within plant, while carbamazepine sotalol only 51% 82%, respectively. percent reductions observed Mandeville system reduction rates reported WWTPs; perhaps due longer time ( approximately 30 days). Most target completely removed discharge Pontchartrain, although their collective annual loading was less 1kg down ppb with significant potential dilution large lake.
