摘要: Technological advances have allowed for the evolution of traditional dietary assessment methods. The aim this review is to evaluate accuracy technology-based methods determine carotenoid and/or fruit and vegetable intake when compared with biomarkers. An online search strategy was undertaken identify studies published in English language up July 2016. Inclusion criteria were adults ≥18 years, a measure that used information communication technologies specified or carotenoid, biomarker status association between two. Sixteen articles from 13 included majority cross-sectional design (n = 9). Some multiple most common: food records 7), 24-h diet recalls 5), frequency questionnaires 3) quality assessed by screener 1). Two directly web based, four using technology could be completed offline data later transferred. utilised collection data, while 11) automated combination nutrient analysis data. Four provided correlation values carotenoids biomarkers, ranging r 0.13 0.62 remaining comparing biomarkers (r 0.09 0.25). This provides an overview been validation objectively measured carotenoids. Findings positive these measures showing mostly moderate associations
