摘要: The optimal treatment strategy for Parkinson's disease has been debated decades. introduction of levodopa (LD) is frequently delayed because theoretical concerns about its toxicity or the risk drug-induced motor complications. These have resulted in "LD phobia" with clinicians selecting dopamine agonist (DA) over LD as initial therapy. More recently, a shift approach towards use appears to be occurring. It therefore necessary review current evidence and DA. This discusses medical management regards versus Pendulum swings strategies between LD-first DA-first therapies should avoided. A balanced perspective needed there place both drugs PD.
