摘要: The longitudinal profile of a river channel can be described in function mathematical expressions. logarithmic fit is the most used method to describe relative equilibrium elevation profile. Rivers showing zones high gradient and convex-upward profiles evaluated offset distance with respect curve. Jama River has been constructed using differential GPS data for downstream reach 4-m-grid DEM base remaining headward resulting shows prominent knickpoint about 80 m characterized by sharp local convexity. vertical direction from plot interpreted as successive accumulation multiple uplift episodes associated Fault System activity. horizontal suggested represent retreated upstream propagation knickpoint. highly resistant Cretaceous rocks outcropping along acts an inflection point between two subprofiles that show well-fitted curves, thereby representing temporary partitioned
