摘要: After having presented in the previous chapter different realizations of tunable lasers, we now discuss their applications absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy. At first those methods where spectral resolution is limited by Doppler width molecular lines will be treated. This limit can fact reached if laser line-width small compared with width. In several examples, such as optical pumping or laser-induced spectroscopy, multimode lasers may employed, although most cases single-mode superior. general, however, these not necessarily frequency stabilized long jitter line-width. We compare detection techniques regard to sensitivity feasibility regions. Some examples illustrate give reader a feeling what has been achieved. discussion “Doppler-limited spectroscopy”, Chaps. 7–10 an extensive treatment various which allow sub-Doppler
