摘要: The anti-corrosion effect of hydroxyl propyl alginate (HPA) on mild steel in 1M HCl has been studied by chemical (weight loss) and electrochemical (polarization impedance spectroscopy) methods. From all the three methods, it is inferred that there an increase inhibition efficiency with concentration inhibitor. Polarization studies revealed mixed mode HPA. adsorption physical nature. HPA followed Frumkin isotherm. thermodynamic kinetic parameters have calculated discussed. Surface morphological carried out Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) Atomic force (AFM). Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) utilized to characterize adsorbed film. SEM AFM methods confirm presence inhibitor surface metal. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym.
