摘要: Abstract The organochlorine pesticide permethrin can be photodegraded into Cl− and CO2 with TiO2 semiconductor catalyst. aromatic moiety in is easily cleaved approximately via apparent first-order kinetics. ring opening rate (1.73 × 10−3 min−1) nearly identical the dechlorination (1.82 min−1). presence of catalyst, UV irradiation oxygen gas are essential for photo-oxidation at a reasonable rate. insoluble (in water) efficiently slurry hexane-water mixture under solar exposure high conversion (more than 90%), even concentration (17 000 ppm), 8 h on sunny day. hydrophobic catalyst (T-805 modified by octyltrimethoxyl silane gives more effective photocatalytic activity naked (P-25).
