摘要: The projection of the nucleus isthmi to ipsilateral optic tectum was examined in normal goldfish. This compared animals which entire visual field had been induced compress onto a rostral half by caudal tectal ablation. isthmo-tectal making localized injections horseradish peroxidase into tecta and observing patterns labeled cells within isthmi. teleost consists cell sparse medulla covered cellular cortex, is thick on rostral, medial, dorsal surfaces nucleus. Almost all isthmic projecting were located area cortex. In fish, rostroventral portion cortex; midway rostrocaudal axis more caudodorsally cells, little further caudally extreme caudodorsal therefore seen project rostrocaudally along tectum. topography contrasts somewhat with situation amphibia where receives projections from axis. fish half-tectal ablations, near edge (at site that originally midtectal) previously projected Rostral compression gave pattern cells. results indicate topographically ordered exists goldfish may be
