Examining The Relation Between Secondary School Teachers’ Beliefs About Their Own Learning and Their Instructional Practices

摘要: Bu olgubilim calismasinin amaci, ortaokul ogretmenlerinin kendi ogrenmeleri hakkindaki inanclari ile ogretim uygulamalari arasindaki iliskiyi incelemektir. Veriler, amacli ornekleme secilen 50 ogretmeni yapilan yari yapilandirilmis gorusmeler araciligiyla toplanmistir. Arastirma sonuclarina gore, ogretmenler iki gruba ayrilmistir: Ilk grup (n= 33), konusundaki inanclarina gore derslerini yurutmektedir, bunlardan 26 ogretmen ogrenen merkezli faaliyetler uygularken, 7 ogretmen, uygulamalar ise kosmaktadir. Ikinci (n=17) ve arasinda bir uyumsuzluk sergilemistir. ogretmenlerden 5’inin inanclara sahip oldugu, ancak programina dayali beklentiler nedeniyle uygulamalarinin oldugu; 12 ogretmenin ogrenci yaklasimlara uygun inanclarinin oldugu uygulamalarinin, kalabalik sinif mevcutlari, motivasyon eksikligi, ogrencinin ilgisizligi veya program yogunlugu, sinirli materyalleri, coktan secmeli sinavlar pedagojik alan bilgisi eksikligi gibi nedenler programa olmadigi sonuclari ortaya cikmistir. Sonuclar, ogretmenlerin yaklasimlari uygulamalarina engel olan unsurlar bununla iliskili olarak bagliliklari hakkinda degerli bilgiler sunmaktadir. Ayrica, arastirma, inanclar gelistirmeleri icin firsatlar saglamak amaciyla egitimi programlarina hizmet-ici egitim yeni yol onermeye yonelik potansiyele sahiptir.
