摘要: Abstract In this work, the thermofluid characteristics of elliptic tube bundle in crossflow have been investigated. Experimental and numerical investigations turbulent flow through tubes heat exchanger are carried out with a particular reference to circular bundle. The investigation covers effects key design parameters Reynolds numbers (5600–40,000), minor-to-major axis ratios (0.25, 0.33. 0.5 1) angles attack (0–150°). Five bundles exchangers different were designed manufactured staggered manner. Numerical CFD modeling using finite volume discretization method was conducted predict system performance extensively. Four methods presented resort metric that expresses thermal criteria results indicated that, increasing angle clockwise until 90° enhances convective transfer coefficient considerably. maximum under constraint fixed pumping power or mass rate obtained at zero minimum occurred an equals 90°. best qualified lower values number, ratio attack.
