Typology of public outreach for biodiversity conservation projects in Spain.

摘要: Conservation education and outreach programs are a key approach to promote public understanding of the importance biodiversity conservation. We reviewed 85 conservation projects supported by Spanish Ministry Environment's Biodiversity Foundation. Through content analysis descriptive statistics, we examined how carried out communication, education, awareness participation (CEPA) actions. also used multivariate statistical develop typology 4 classes on basis CEPA implementation. The classifications were delineated purpose CEPA, level integration actions, type goals, main stakeholders, aim Our results confirm existence 2 positions: has intrinsic value (i.e., they supposed implementation any action indirectly conservation) is an instrument for achieving goals. found that most actions addressed general audiences school children, ignored minority groups women, did not include evaluation. characteristics types their frequency in sample reflect need better different (communication, participation) improved fostering multiple stakeholders developing policy implementing management strategies. Tipologia de la Divulgacion Publica para Proyectos Conservacion Biodiversidad en Espana Resumen Los programas educacion y divulgacion conservacion son un acercamiento clave promover el entendimiento publico importancia biodiversidad. Revisamos proyectos ejecutados con apoyo Fundacion del Ministerio Medio Ambiente Espanol. Por medio analisis contenido estadistica descriptiva examinamos como los llevan cabo acciones comunicacion, educacion, conciencia publica participacion (CEPA). Tambien usamos estadisticos multivariados desarrollar una tipologia cuatro tipos base implementacion CEPA. Las clasificaciones fueron delineadas partir proposito nivel integracion tipo objetivos principales destinatarios/as conservacion. Nuestros resultados confirman existencia dos posiciones clave: valor intrinseco (la cual presupone que cualquier accion apoya indirectamente conservacion) instrumento consecucion descubrimos mayoria se dirigen al escolares, ignoran grupos minoritarios mujeres, no incluyen evaluacion. caracteristicas su frecuencia muestra reflejan necesidad mejor diferentes (comunicacion, participacion) mejora fomento multiples desarrollo politicas estrategias gestion.
