摘要: The Saprospiraceae, a family within the order Sphingobacteriales and phylum Bacteroidetes, embrace genera Saprospira, Lewinella, Haliscomenobacter, Aureispira, “Rubidimonas,” “Portibacter.” composition of family, delineation species, is largely defined by 16S rRNA gene phylogeny. Most are isolated from aquatic environments, predominantly marine associated but also freshwater activated sludge. Isolates in situ strains have demonstrated ability for hydrolysis utilization complex carbon sources, with helical gliding predation other bacteria algae. Family members likely important breakdown organic compounds environment. Such role at least sludge wastewater treatment systems where these organisms frequently observed abundance.
