摘要: This report describes the theory and operation of a pulsed-probe anemometer designed to measure steady three-dimensional velocity fields typical pulmonary tracheo-bronchial airflows. Local velocities are determined by measuring transport time orientation thermal pulse initiated at an upstream wire sensed downstream wire. The is reproducible function probe spacing, as verified theoretical model convective heat transfer. When calibrated yields measurements accurate +/- 5 percent resolves flow direction within 1 deg airspeeds greater than or equal 10 cm/s. Spatial resolution 0.5 mm. Measured patterns curved circular pipes included examples its application.
