摘要: Community assembly is determined by a combination of historical events and contemporary processes that are difficult to disentangle, but eco-evolutionary mechanisms may be uncovered the joint analysis species genetic diversity across multiple sites. Mountain streams Europe harbour highly diverse macroinvertebrate communities whose composition turnover (replacement taxa) among sites regions remain poorly known. We studied whole-community biodiversity within six mountain along latitudinal transect from Morocco Scandinavia at three levels taxonomic hierarchy: genus, haplotypes. Using DNA barcoding four insect families (>3100 individuals, 118 species) 62 streams, we found measures local regional intraregional generally declined slightly towards northern latitudes. However, all hierarchical complete (haplotype) or high (species, genus) (and even regions), which counters expectations Pleistocene postglacial northward expansion southern refugia. Species distributions were mostly correlated with environmental conditions, suggesting strong role lineage- species-specific traits in determining community composition, lineage diversification phylogenetic structure (e.g., loss Coleoptera, not Ephemeroptera, sites). High intraspecific regions, northernmost sites, reflects dispersal demographic histories indicates migration geographically scattered refugia, rather than only areas. Overall, patterns strongly concordant levels, consistent overriding influence factors genus levels. This article protected copyright. All rights reserved.
