摘要: A switch from a T helper 1 (TH1) cytokine phenotype to TH2 has been proposed as critical element in the progression of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) disease. Here, constitutive expression was analyzed unfractionated and sorted cell populations isolated peripheral blood lymph nodes HIV-infected individuals at different stages Expression interleukin-2 (IL-2) IL-4 barely detectable (or undetectable) regardless stage CD8+ cells expressed large amounts interferon gamma IL-10, levels these cytokines remained stably high throughout course infection.
