摘要: Theories of distributive justice tend to focus on the issue what constitutes a fair division 'external' goods and opportunities; things like wealth income, opportunities for education basic liberties rights. However, rapid advances in biomedical sciences have ushered new era, one where 'genetic lottery life' can be directly influenced by humans ways that would been considered science fiction only few decades ago. How should theories modified take seriously prospect biotechnologies, especially given health challenges posed global aging? Colin Farrelly addresses host topics, ranging from gene therapy preimplantation genetic diagnosis, an 'anti-aging' intervention creation evolution patriarchy.
