摘要: The ability to make precise distinctions among related personality constructs helps clarify theory and increases the utility of clinical assessment. In three studies, authors evaluated validity four impulsivity-like traits: sensation seeking, lack planning, persistence, urgency (acting rashly when distressed). Factor analyses indicated that planning persistence are two distinct facets one broader trait, whereas seeking both very modestly each other planning/persistence measures. developed interview assessments each, multitrait, multimethod matrix results clear convergent discriminant constructs. them were useful: traits accounted for different aspects risky behaviors.
