摘要: The authors advocate the use of a transparent sheath for guiding an endoscope, simple and unique tool endoscopic surgery, describe preliminary results its application in evacuation hypertensive intracerebral hematomas. This is 10-cm-long tube made clear acrylic plastic, which greatly improves visualization surgical field through 2.7-mm nonangled endoscope inserted within. Between April 1997 December 1998, performed hematomas by using this into patients' heads burr hole. In nine consecutive cases hematoma was larger than 40 ml volume, nearly complete (86-100%) lesion achieved without complication. Excellent border between brain parenchyma facilitated accurate intraoperative orientation, also allowed easy identification bleeding point. Thus, combination achieves both minimal invasiveness maximum extent removal with secure hemostasis. will reduce inherent disadvantage procedures may expand their other areas neurosurgical management.
