Racemose neurocysticercosis after chronic meningitis: effect of medical treatment

摘要: A patient affected by racemous neurocysticercosis, occurring 5 years after the onset of chronic meningitis and followed sequential MRI studies, is described. After ventriculo-peritoneal shunt, he was successfully treated with Praziquantel Albendazole. This case may contribute to understand natural history disease stress efficacy medical versus surgical treatment this lifethreatening disease.
