摘要: Abstract The high incidence of dengue, chikungunya, and Zika indicates the importance controlling vector these arboviruses in tropical subtropical regions world. However, control is hindered by pesticide resistance limited success biocontrol programs against Aedes mosquitoes. Despite difficulties, study common plant species, including those with commercial value, can offer effective ecological tools fight In present study, essential oils obtained from aerial parts Origanum vulgare L. Thymus vulgaris were analyzed GC–MS evaluated for their larvicidal, adulticidal repellent activities against  aegypti main constituents O. oil terpinen-4-ol (17.4%), carvacrol (16.0%) thymol (10.4%), T. (40.0%), p-cymene (19.3%) γ-terpinene (17.3%). Both toxic to Ae. larvae LC50 values 37.5 μg/mL 38.9 μg/mL vulgaris. For adult mosquitoes, 14.3 11.7 μg/mL, respectively. showed a significant repellency effect, ranging 8.9% 37.8% 4.4% 68.9%, addition, morphological differences between treated EOs group evidenced optical microscopy. Thus, results suggest that have potential use as an ecofriendly source develop new insecticides aegypti.
