摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate the parameters visual and brainstem auditory evoked potentials in patients occupationally exposed arsenic, cadmium lead. group comprised 41 copper smelter refinery workers (average age: 51.27) with occupational exposure control consisted 36 healthy volunteers (35 men 1 woman, aged 27–66, average 51.08). Neurological examination, brain imaging, were performed, relationship between blood Cd, Pb concentration (Cd-B, Pb-B), zinc protoporphyrin (ZnPP), urine As (As-U) assessed. In workers, exceedances allowable biological concentrations observed, urinary arsenic being 5.2%, lead 1.3%, while case ZnPP 2.6%. mean P100, relative N145 potential (VEP) latencies significantly longer than controls. wave III V (BAEP) latency III–V I–V interpeak longer, I amplitude lower summary, As, is associated prolonged reduced amplitude, but As-U, Pb-B, Cd-B, are not linearly related components. analysis may be a useful method assessment central nervous system heavy metals.
