摘要: The average respiratory quotient of weasels was 0.73. There were significant differences in daily metabolic rate (ADMR) between the sexes and six experimental temperatures. As temperature decreased mean ADMR increased, with a relatively greater rise for females. Regression equations on Y=483.2–9.6X kcal/kg/day males, Y=625.3–15.0X minimum measured males 6.6 kcal/kg/h, maximum 25.7 kcal/kg/h. relationship body weight varied different temperatures, but consistent hypothesis that proportional to weight. energetic costs activity my captive more than 20% their total energy expenditure. Data metabolism supported conclusion long, thin mustelids lose heat faster normally-shaped mammals same
