摘要: The spin scan camera was first flown on ATS-1 from 1966 to 1973 continuously monitor the global atmospheric circulation. Later, modified versions with improved sensor capabilities were ATS-3 and SMS. Today, GOES series of cameras is in regular operational use. value as a dependable meteorological workhorse requires proper functioning entire system, composed four main elements: a) spinning spacecraft whose highly stable predictable motions generate time divisible precision therefore metric image; b) telescope having both on-axis image quality wide field view; c) data chain which in-corporates duty cycle improvement uses communication link distribute users; d) display analysis techniques permit organizing large number images domain efficiently selecting measuring greatest importance.
