摘要: Abstract. This paper presents and criticizes. Alexander's evolutionary theory of morality (1987). Earlier research, on which is based, also reviewed. The propensity to create moral systems evolved because it allowed ancestral humans limit conflict within cooperating groups thus form larger groups, were advantageous intense between-group competition. Alexander sees codes as contractual, the primary criticism his that are not completely contractual but coercive. Ways evaluating well modified versions discussed.
