摘要: Abstract Scales of eight common European cyprinid species were studied. Six scales extracted from each specimen three predetermined body areas. The main differences among the species' described. Maximum and minimum lateral radius maximum length measured, number radii noted. relationships between standard scale measurements best described by power functions, showed fit in most analyzed cases. different areas significant estimates. increased with age all species, except for goldfish Carassius auratus, roach Rutilus rutilus, rudd Scardinius erythrophthalmus. This might be related to general activity fish or environmental conditions. Much information can obtained scales, but it should interpreted care. Detailed precise studies are needed diet analyses piscivorous impact evaluation.
