摘要: A flipped-classroom approach was implemented in a Circuits I class for electrical and computer engineering majors to lower its high attrition failure rate. Students were asked watch online lectures then come prepared work problems small groups of four. The attitude, retention, performance students the flipped group Spring 2013 compared those traditionally taught Fall 2012. 2012 recorded, so that each saw same lectures. Student retention test significantly higher course. In 2012, 56% initially enrolled received C or better. 2013, this improved 83%. first exam scores better helped with student success. authors believe it alignment lectures, face-to-face student/teacher peer/peer interactions, combined active learning component classroom led these improvements .
