摘要: Type II diabetes represents the most common form of in humans and is a major cause morbidity mortality.1In any individual patient, primary metabolic abnormality initiating this disease process remains elusive, spite extensive study human condition multiple animal models.2–5 Most these models share several features with type diabetes, including glucose intolerance associated hyperinsulinemia, insulin resistance, obesity. We describe here transgenic mice that represent novel model early diabetes. They many physiologic characteristics other rodent but they are not obese. result poorly defined mutation may abnormalities beyond those seen homeostasis, surgical or pharmacologic manipulation. The transgenics from introduction copies normal gene into their genome.
