摘要: Distyly is characterized by a diallelic incompatibility system. Crowe (1964) hypothesized that this has arisen loss of alleles from multiallelic systems. I have examined mechanism for such in simulated population with sporophytic and four at the locus. If second locus tightly linked to favoured new mutation spreads locus, two may be driven extinction, leaving only allele originally mutation, dominant first. The selection pressures responsible behaviour are higher fitness ever-acting maximal cross-compatibility implications model evolution distyly discussed.
