摘要: The chiefly tropical family, Commelinaceae (Spiderwort or Dayflower family) has members extending into all the major continents. Commelina species and their biotypes have achieved attention in agricultural production within past few decades. reasons for success as an invasive weed are discussed, particularly those relating to indiscriminate practices including chemical overuse its pest significance biodiversity. results of published unpublished data summarized. use alternative control is emphasized it concluded that successful management these weeds can only be by a multi-component approach.
