Pulmonary histiocytosis X: comparison of radiographic and CT findings.

摘要: The authors retrospectively evaluated radiographs, computed tomographic (CT) scans, and results of pulmonary function tests (when available) for 17 patients with biopsy-proved histiocytosis X. In 11 patients, high-resolution CT was used. 12 demonstrated cystic air spaces, usually less than 10 mm in diameter. three these 12, cysts were the only abnormality, but six others, nodules (usually 5 diameter) also present. Two had one, emphysema. showed that many lesions appeared reticular on plain radiographs actually cysts. no central or peripheral concentration lesions, it did reveal small distributed centers secondary lobules around airways. findings correlated better diffusing capacity (rho = -0.71) radiographic -0.57).
