摘要: Foaming in activated sludge plants is a worldwide problem commonly caused by proliferation of bacteria the order Corynebacteriales. These include Skermania piniformis, filamentous bacterium that has been documented to be major cause foaming globally, and particularly Australian treatment plants. Phage SPI1 first phage was isolated shown infect this organism. It targets seven nine strains S. piniformis held our culture collection, but none other 73 mycolata different genera, mostly from wastewater, against which it tested. member family Siphoviridae circularly permuted dsDNA genome 55,748 bp with G+C content 67.8 mol %. appears obligatorily lytic, no evidence genes related lysogenic mode existence.
