摘要: In a country like India, millions of people rely on products from natural ecosystems to sustain their livelihood. Natural provide clean water watersheds, retention soil and fertility, sequestration carbon, as well pollinators and natural predators pests. For these reasons, rapid, often irreversible, loss species is more than just academic concern. Indeed, our understanding biodiversity in remains so woefully inadequate that we are unable fully comprehend the consequences its loss. With impending climate change increasing spread invasive species, crisis likely to get worse, with far-reaching effects human societies.
