摘要: In work in science, technology, and society social conflict around wind farms has a growing profile, not least because it draws our attention to two key interrelated themes: 'science, technology governance' 'socio-technological systems'. this article on Australian farm development siting, these themes are highlighted contexts of sustainability, legitimacy, competency for policy effectiveness. There is enduring at the local community level, but little government understanding or willingness respond adequately resolve it. This examines through lens print media analysis. A finding five identified that people seeing as spoiling sense place primary cause level farms, alongside significant environmental issues inadequate engagement; also indicates central reason highly problematic state energy transitions. turn, by identifying situation one significantly 'decoupled' 'dysfunctional' condition socio-technological siting system, I suggest remedies including those deliberative nature Habermas-Mouffe debate. These inform socio-technical approach pathway better respect navigate contested landscapes enhanced renewable transitions level.
