摘要: A study has been made of the thermal behavior polyimide precursors: an isomeric pair crystals complex formed by p-phenylenediamine with separated isomers di-isopropyl ester pyromellitic acid. Specimens this material were isothermally annealed in temperature range 120 C to 170 for periods time up 1 week. Although is well below that customarily used imidizations, working hypothesis was it would be more likely a polymer embodying at least part precursor structure could if molecular motion minimized actually required formation imide linkage. The progress annealing followed by: infrared spectroscopy, differential analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, and gravimetric analysis. Single crystal analysis meta monomer yields chains alternating acid base suggests amenable polymerization minimum geometrical disruption.
