摘要: Abstract This research was initiated to determine the effects of different constituents and properties zeolite synthesized from fly ash (ZFA) on Cr(III) sorption. The uptake by ZFA influenced greatly pH, increasing with increase in pH. pH controlled mainly calcium-related components (especially CaCO3 free CaO) ZFAs. Sorption maximum ( Q m ), determined a repeated batch equilibration method, ranged 22.29 99.91 mg/g for 14 value correlated significantly Ca-related components. correlation coefficients were 0.9467, 0.5469, 0.7521, 0.9195 total Ca, CaCO3, CaSO4, f.CaO, respectively. also closely related cation-exchange capacity r = 0.6872 ) specific surface area 0.7249 ). Correlation dissociated Fe2O3 Al2O3 much higher than those Fe Al contents, It suggested that, ZFAs, iron oxide acted as ion exchanger adsorbent Cr(III), respectively, while Ca elevated reaction system consequently promoted exchange adsorption caused precipitation chromium hydroxide.
