摘要: To date, there has been very little research examining the knowledge and perceived use of productive counterproductive investigative interviewing techniques by U.S. law enforcement. The current study attempted to address this gap in literature presenting 212 enforcement interviewers with video vignettes depicting via an online survey. Interviewers were asked identify each technique, report their give reasons for nonuse, respectively. In a subsequent section survey, participants given names descriptions previously shown videos rate efficacy technique. Results revealed that real-world using more frequently than primary reason any technique is its gathering accurate plentiful information.
