摘要: The arid climatic conditions of Kuwait limits the range plant species exploited in landscaping and such environments, water gardening, which is suitable for a variety climates including desert climate, becomes significant. Hence, relative growth rate adaptability 15 imported cultivars lilies (Nymphaea sp.) were assessed at Urban Demonstration Garden Site (UDG) Institute Scientific Research (KISR). from Shanghai Xinhai Cultivation Flowers Co., Ltd, China, experiment was conducted Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three replications. planted one-gallon containers filled sand:sphagnum peat moss (2:1 v/ v) placed pond compartments fresh water. periodic data on number leaves, petiole length, leaf width, area index, flowers lily analyzed using statistical procedure, R method. results study very promising, indicating that greenery enhancement landscape beautification projects viable option. All introduced varieties China found growing under as evidenced by survival percentage. exhibited positive during summer season their drastically reduced winter season. Further studies performance are required to ascertain long-term impact prevailing environmental contribution visual appeal.
