摘要: In the Arthurian romances of Middle Ages, character Morgan le Fay was transformed dramatically from her Welsh original, goddess Modron. The effect to vilify enchantress so that medieval Christians would not be sympathetic character. This study consults oldest available mythological and historical texts as well surrounding King Arthur Knights Round Table. Also consulted are some top contemporary scholars. By unraveling Morgan’s transformation reasons for such change, it is revealed demonizing old pagan deities limited male deities. Instead, most ancient deity all, Great Mother Goddess slowly became one infamous characters in literature, Fay.
