摘要: A quantitative understanding of the mechanism human dental enamel dissolution in buffers is important because it should lead to a clear description causative factors caries formation, and can be profitably employed design meaningful screening methods for potential anti-decay agents. Gray' has reported studies on dissolution, concluding that rates his were controlled by diffusion reactants products reaction. He also pointed out initial rate largely function total buffer concentration, acid strength, pH. The effects common foreign ions accounted consistent fashion. Gray deduced semi-empirical equation which rather satisfactorily describes all experimental findings. This relationship includes bufferacid dissociation constant, hydrogen-ion other terms, when necessary, affecting rate. success this suggested detailed mathematical models could formulated tested, employing simultaneous chemical reaction, as been done describing behavior benzoic acid2 basic buffered media. present communication report study two such models. These have examined with Gray's data. analyses demonstrate usefulness approach future problems.
