摘要: Fast, frequent, accurate and reliable measurements of physical factors such as temperature, stress or strain play a key role when it comes to ensuring the smooth operation processes in many domestic, commercial industrial constructions devices. For example, most fabrication devices production process rely on temperature operate; large buildings depend series sensors control heating cooling maintain temperature. Photonic crystal fibres (PCF), constitute class optical fibres, which has potential for number novel applications either telecom sensing domain. Analysis characteristics different photonic fibre structures, including effective index mode field distribution, bandgap, chromatic dispersion, phase group modal birefringence, confinement bending losses, sensitivity hydrostatic pressure, other parameters are revealed. The benefits PCF allow types specialty microstructured endlessly single mode, double clad, germanium rare earth doped, highly birefringent, sensor components. developed characterization techniques reviewed well. Finally, new component were designed, fabricated characterized will be presented. One demonstrated components is Bragg grating written birefringent fibre.
