摘要: An apparatus and a method for controlling the thermal state of consumable welding electrode wire which is continuously fed heated between two electric contact tips having dielectric gap predetermined length therebetween. Preheating portion just before weld region effected by passing an current through wire. The characterized establishing preheating versus feed rate relationship, predetermining average temperature outcoming at known pre- heating currents rates, series isotherms. A pre-programmed computer system coordinates its preheating.
