摘要: This paper investigates effects of different possible options for cantonal and municipal au-thorities’ intent on attracting firms: improvements in transport infrastructure, designation new building zones, last but not least tax reductions. These actions have been tested by simulating the decisions existing firms. The parameters these simulations estimated with a discrete choice model using data commercial registers cantons St.Gallen both Appenzell covering years 1991 to 2006. aim this is show only effects, also detect potential negative side effects. simulation results show, that reductions unrivalled large meaning positive municipalities concerned as well adjacent mu-nicipalities. Generally, are more intense regions number firms al-ready present. Interestingly, due specific region, can be identified over long distances other regions. Especially cities towns affected distance
