What do users think of an XML element retrieval system

摘要: We describe the University of Amsterdam’s participation in INEX 2005 Interactive Track, mainly focusing on a comparative experiment, which baseline system Daffodil/HyREX is compared to home-grown XML element retrieval (xmlfind). The xmlfind provides an interface for information search engine, using index that contains all individual elements IEEE collection. Our main findings are following. First, test persons show appreciation both systems, but receives higher scores than Daffodil. Second, seems take structural dependencies between retrieved into account appropriate way: although may be overlapping whole or part, none regarded this as problematic. Third, general opinion usefulness systems was unequivocally positive, and their responses highlight many hoped advantages system.
