摘要: A “Machine Representation Language” (MRL), a tool for the evaluation and simulation of instruction sets computers, was designed research in computer architecture. novel hypothetical machine to perform uses an acyclic directed graph as its language. MRL requires expandable associative memory recursive execution environment; extensive instrumentation simulation. microprogrammed implementation satisfying these requirements completed on Burroughs B1700 within academic semester. Comparisons techniques performance between system developmental using Snobol-4 show utility efficiency approach.
