摘要: When the driving magnetic pressure profile is unbalanced by plasma density in a coaxial accelerator, portion of and associated current sheet may “blow by” remaining bulk plasma. The fast moving creates significant back electromotive force, draining energy otherwise available for acceleration. onset blow-by an unmagnetized finite length straight accelerator was studied exploring systematically effects initial profile, current, temperature, inductance gradient, electrode radii scale size on time. In order to avoid blow-by, principal acceleration phase needs be less than characteristic time, which function geometry, conditions, circuit parameters.
