摘要: Characteristics of a novel ring Compton scatter camera are described. This is designed to image medium-energy (0.5 3 MeV) gamma-ray fields. It consists two position-sensitive detector arrays: 4*4 planar array high purity germanium (HPGe) crystals and up 64 NaI(Tl) crystals. Past evaluations cameras have used second detector, which subjected large flux gamma rays that either pass directly through or undergo small angle in the first detector. A significantly reduces direct scattered events An analytical model for systems has been developed predict angular resolution efficiency, benchmarked against measurements made with prototype system consisting HPGe an eight-element ring.
