摘要: The thickness of the magnetopause boundary layer can be explained by anomalous cross-field diffusion magnetosheath protons resonating with either electrostatic or electromagnetic waves (Tsurutani and Thorne, 1982). Whereas first mechanism was favored these authors on basis ISEE measurements, GEOS data, which are obtained when magnetosphere is contracted, seem to show that second one may more important, at least during disturbed conditions. special relationship exists between proton resonant energy frequency right-handed leads a preferential few keV. ability evacuate dissipated generation turbulence also discussed.
