摘要: The aim of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between appendectomy and pulmonary tuberculosis in Taiwan. We designed case-control by analyzing the database from Taiwan National Health Insurance Program. In total, we found 11,366 individuals (aged 20 years older) with newly diagnosed as case group 45,464 without control 1998 2011. were matched on sex, age, index year diagnosing tuberculosis. Using multivariable unconditional logistic regression model, measured odds ratio (OR) 95 % confidence interval (CI) for risk associated other comorbidities. After controlling covariables, model disclosed that OR 1.4 appendectomized patients (95 CI = 1.13, 1.75) when compared appendectomy. further analysis, comorbidity chronic obstructive diseases (OR = 4.63, CI = 3.21, 6.68), pneumoconiosis (OR = 7.80, CI = 1.43, 42.5), kidney (OR = 5.65, CI = 1.79, 17.8), or diabetes mellitus (OR = 2.11, CI = 1.30, 3.44) increased patients. Individuals are at 1.4-fold Comorbidities, including disease, pneumoconiosis, diseases, mellitus, enhance
