摘要: Abstract Objectives The analysis of body composition from computed tomography (CT) imaging has become widespread. However, the methodology used is far established. Two main software packages are commonly for analysis, with results interchangeably. equivalence these not been well aim this study was to compare performed using two assess their equivalence. Methods Triphasic abdominal CT scans 50 patients were analyzed a range measures at third lumbar vertebral level OsiriX (v7.5.1, Pixmeo, Switzerland) and SliceOmatic (v5.0, TomoVision, Montreal, Canada) packages. Measures skeletal muscle index (SMI), fat mass (FM), fat-free (FFM), mean Hounsfield Units (SMHU). Results overall SMI calculated significantly different (SliceOmatic 51.33 versus 53.77, P Conclusions All four statistically by package analysis; however, clinical significance differences doubtful. Nevertheless, same should be if serial measurements being performed.
