摘要: Right-of-way acquisition is an integral component of the overall planning and implementation highway transportation projects. This process has become more complex, expensive, time consuming, socially sensitive over last few decades. For this reason, valuations parcels negotiations with property owners have been focused on improving process. In order to recommend some best practices for successful valuation negotiation, research team considered owners’ experiences, different among Texas Department Transportation district offices, factors that may affect possession type, as well a thorough literature review. Guidelines, supported by recommended avoid, were identified each negotiation. The guidelines promoting good relations between owners.
